Common Functions enable the end user to interact either with the myObjectiveOLAP library itself or to execute commands or retrieve output from the Oracle OLAP server side application.

 

This includes a number of low level API's that do minimal checking before attempting to execute within the server side environment.

 

It is best practice to only use these API's if myObjectiveOLAP does not offer a function to do this for you.

 

By using the myObjectiveOLAP functions in your code additional pre-execution checks are performed and enhanced error trapping is available to you.
